Chatting with Attendees and Partners

There is a possibility to send messages to attendees or partners via the chat function. A group chat function is also available.

1. How to start a Chat from the Event Home?

When you are on the Event Home page, you will see the event wall on the right side. In the upper bar you will see “Attendees” and “My Chats”.

1. Via Attendees

Click on Attendees and search for the participant you want to contact.

When you click on the person, the profile of the participant will open.  To write a message click on the “start a chat” button and the chat will be opened.

2. Via My Chats

Click on My Chats in the bar. Now you can see with which participants you already have a conversation.

After clicking on “New Chat” you can select the desired attendee from the dropdown menu. Then the chat window will open and you can start the conversation

2. How to start a chat from the left menu?

1. Via Attendees

Click “Attendees” in the menu and find the attendee you want to contact. When you click on the person, the attendee’s profile will open.

To write a message, click the “Start a Chat” button and the chat will open.

2. Via My Chats

Click “my Chats” in the menu and find all chats you already have with other attendees.

After clicking on “New Chat” you can select the desired attendee from the dropdown menu. Then the chat window will open and you can start the conversation.

3. How to start a group chat?

If you want to chat with several attendees at the same time, use the group chat function. Therefore open your messages and click on “New Group Chat”

Select from the dropdown which members you want to have in the group chat and click on the blue button next to the attendee. The selected attendees will then appear at the top with a gray check mark.

When you have selected all members click done and the group chat is now available for everyone.

4. How to get in touch with Partners?

If you are interested in a partner and want more information about the company, you can contact the partner directly.

Go to the Virtual Expo and click on the interested partner.

The contact person is listed below. You can now write a direct message to this person by clicking on the “Send Message” button or send an email by clicking on “Email”.
